Ok, so I'm really terrible about this blogging thing! I have a hard time keeping it up to date! Anyway, things are going well. I had a little scare a couple of months ago. I was having chest pain again and kind of freaked out but it's all good. Chest xray looked great and blood test were all good! :)

Massage Therapy school is still awesome! I now work in the clinic once a week, working on the public and everyone seems to love me, I get lots of requests! Kent is still plugging along and finishing up his commercial pilot license. And still loves it!

Jake and Josh had a great summer! Very busy! They had a church youth camp (EFY), high adventure for scouts, California for a family reunion, drum camp, and band camp and I took the boys camping by myself.

I did all the costumes and flags again this season for the colorguard (with a lot of much appreciated help from my mother!) We spent many late nights sewing!

Oh, the latest is, I can finally squat down and get back up without having to crawl to a chair or something to support myself. I was so excited! My knees finally work again! Kind of amazing what can make me excited these days! I'm just so happy to be alive and raise my kids. What a blessings it's all been!

Ethan and I went and saw a juggler at the library. He got to be part of the act!
I made my cousins wedding dress!

Guard costumes and closer flags.
This is a video of Ethan crying because he got splashed, in the lake, at the reunion but keep watching, it's hilarious!

Jake at EFY....ladies man!

Driving to Cali in the little car with lots of boys!

Jake drove too (he actually got his license in September!)

Lots of school....

So school has been awesome and hard and a lot of fun! I got A's in both of my classes this mod (6 week term) and an A in my class last mod. It's goinig to get even harder this next mod (deep tissue and more Kinesiology and Anatomy & Physiology). For those who don't know and don't feel like reading past posts, I am going to school to become a Massage Therapist. It has been a wonderful choice and very therapuetic!

As far as everyone else, Jake and Josh are both done with school now and poor Josh has to go to summer school. I don't know what I'm going to do with that kid! He is so flipping smart but doesn't turn his stuff in or forgets assignments (yet he does above average on all the tests!) Obviously he's soaking it all in, he just has never done very well, when it comes to the public school system. Jake has A's and B's this term so he is happy. And Ethan even graduated from preschool! :)

Kent is also in school this year. He should have his bachelor's degree this next year and an associates in Aviation Science. He is loving it! Loves flying and is very excited about it all!

Here are more pictures for your enjoyment! (first one is my brother nathan and I at his graduation) Also included, Jake turned 16 (I'm so old!) and we thought Ethan had broken his foot (he was in a splint for two days, we had to carry him around, he wasn't allowed to walk on it, very hard for a 4 year old!) luckily it was only a sprain.

My sweet boys!

So, here they are, on Mother's Day. I made them stay in their church clothes so I could take this picture. They of course ripped them off immediately after the picture and changed into some "real" clothes. Anyway, Mother's Day was pretty mellow at our house this year. I was really sick so we didn't do much. But they did get me some little things, a really awesome pen that writes really well (I love school supplies, so this was a good one for me!) Also some pink headphones for my Ipod (every girl needs some pink!) and some chocolate!

I hope all the mother's and grandmother's out there had a great day!

Look at me now!

It's officially been one year now (can you believe it?) since I was diagnosed with cancer. A year ago I was in the hospital, going through chemo, and really sick! Now I am healthy (accept for a few aches and pains) and alive (it's life fun?!) I have been so blessed this year. I have a great family and extended family and wonderful friends! I love you all! Thank you for all that you do for me!

Requests....

Ok, so I've had tons of requests for pics of my hair (which is still growing at a rapid rate....luckily my arm pit and leg hairs are really slow and sporadic...TMI??)
So here I am in all my glory!

And apparently I haven't written in over a month so I guess there is some updating to do...

The biggest news I guess is that I am starting Massage Therapy school in March. At the expense of being cliche, I have been trying to figure out a way to "give back" since I've gone through cancer. I looked at a lot of different options (ultrasound tech, nurse, etc.) massage therapy was the one that I thought I would most enjoy and will also benefit my family. I'm still doing costumes and even starting a handbag line (nothing like doing it all, right?!) I feel like that one SNL skit where all the people have multiple jobs and they are comparing ("I have three jobs, well I have me 10") I think they are from Jamaica or something (it's been many years since I've seen it!) Anyway, I'm really excited!

I am currently making 21 drumline costumes and just finished 18 winterguard costumes. I also made 26 flags. I have pics of the flags and the most recent handbag that I made. I will post the costumes when I get those done. The handbag line is called "Lucy Kate" after both of my wonderful grandmothers (Lucille and Katherine). I'm really excited about that as well! The first bag is a "seatbelt" purse and has a zipper pocket, a cell phone pocket, and even a logo tag. I'm going to start making a bunch more after the DL costumes are done. Oh and I am going to make a wedding dress in May. So, of course, staying very busy!
