Ok, so here is my attempt at being remotely as talented as my sister-in-laws! After reading their beautiful words posted on their blogs, I've decided that I will try this blogging thing once again. So I haven't written in almost a year and obviously a lot of things have happened in that time. My boys have all grown and continue to amaze me. My husband is also a source of amazement and amusement. I couldn't not live without him! In fact he was gone on a scout campout with Jake for one night and I was depressed, lonely, and scared all in a matter of a few hours. A lot has been going on (my sweet grandmother passed away on January 9th, I took care of my own family and my siblings while my mother took care of things in California and then we all flew down for her funeral last weekend.) We had just gotten back from a wonderful trip in California. Disneyland, Six Flags, the works! I love the sun! It was wonderful! Someday I would like to live where it's sunny again but I stay for my husband and my boys. I've decided that either Kent or I need to make enough money so that I can fly down to Cali once a month and then it won't be so bad living in the depressing rain. It really depresses me! Luckily I am blessed to have wonderful family members here. My parents and Kent's family are all close and that helps me get through the dreariness (Hopefully this isn't too depressing....I'm in one of those moods...sorry!) On a happier note, Ethan keeps me laughing constantly and my big boys are always good for hugs and laughs. Tonight was a classic, Ethan was singing a song from Goofy movie..."you've gotta stand out above the crowd.." Well, he was singing "above the crap". I was trying to convince him that they say crowd not crap and holding in my laughter so as not to encourage him! It was hilarious! I love the words that come out of the mouths of babes!
For those of you who don't know, I have been sewing costumes for a few years and doing other odd sewing jobs (prom dresses, wedding dresses, missionaries pants, etc.) So I just got another call from a high school needing costumes for their drumline, so now I have three gigs for this season (two drumlines and a colorguard...I will post pics soon.) I did the winterguard costumes this last season and made the patterns for and sewed a bunch of their flags (I'll put those pics up too.)
That's it for now, I will continue to pursue the artistic graces of my sister-in-laws and hopefully this blogging will get better!
